Bank Saqu Expands Solopreneur Program Into Growth Ecosystem with Networking, Matchmaking and Financing Support in Jakarta

JakartaHits.id — Indonesian digital bank Bank Saqu is expanding its Solopreneur Academy into Solopreneur Society: The Founders Club, shifting the program’s focus from business education toward a broader ecosystem that includes industry insights, networking, business matchmaking and access to financing.
The program, which began in 2024, was initially designed to provide early-stage solopreneurs with knowledge, mentorship and exposure. Bank Saqu said its experience over the past two years showed that founders’ needs had evolved beyond training and visibility as their businesses grew.
“We can’t just provide knowledge and exposure to them. We also have to follow the needs of the solopreneurs who have grown with us,” Henry Komandangi, Relationship Banking Director at Bank Saqu, said during a press conference in Jakarta on Wednesday, September 3, 2026.
The 2024 edition of Solopreneur Academy focused on businesses in food and beverage, fashion, and beauty and personal care. The program later expanded into the creative industry in 2025, bringing together content creators and professionals in arts and crafts.
Bank Saqu also developed collaborative projects with participants from previous programs. One initiative in 2025, called Good Gesture, involved the production of an artificial intelligence-based video incorporating sign language to support accessibility for Indonesia’s deaf community.
The lessons from those programs led Bank Saqu to develop Solopreneur Society in 2026, Komandangi said.

“The needs of solopreneurs have increased. They don’t just need knowledge and exposure anymore. They also need networking and new business opportunities,” he said.
The program’s main event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2026, and will feature three core components: industry insights, networking and curated business matchmaking.
Industry sessions will focus on four sectors: coffee businesses, food and beverage, meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, known as MICE, and artificial intelligence.
The networking component is designed to connect participants with businesses and professionals operating in relevant industries, while the business matchmaking program will go beyond conventional networking by identifying participants with complementary business needs.
“The participants are not only matched because they are in the same industry. The businesses attending also have specific needs, so after networking, they can have opportunities to grow through the business matchmaking session,” Komandangi said.
Bank Saqu is also collaborating with Indonesian media company IDN to expand the program’s business ecosystem and provide participants with access to a broader network.
In addition to networking and collaboration opportunities, Solopreneur Society 2026 will offer eligible participants access to financing products.
Komandangi said the program marks a departure from previous editions by incorporating financial support for founders seeking to expand their businesses.
“Besides business insights, networking and business matchmaking, Solopreneur Society will also provide eligible solopreneurs with access to financial support to develop their businesses further,” he said.
For smaller financing needs, Bank Saqu offers Saku Kredit, which provides funding of up to Rp 30 million, equivalent to about $1,800 based on an approximate exchange rate. Larger businesses may access working capital or investment financing, according to the company.
The financing could support business needs including increasing production capacity, purchasing inventory, expanding operations and entering new markets outside Jakarta, Komandangi said.
The program is built around the theme Match, Make, Grow, which Bank Saqu said reflects its approach of connecting founders with relevant networks, creating business opportunities and supporting their growth.
“Match means being connected with the right network, make means creating new business opportunities, and grow means growing together with support from Bank Saqu,” Komandangi said.
Solopreneur Society represents Bank Saqu’s latest effort to build a business ecosystem around Indonesia’s growing community of independent founders, as companies increasingly look beyond education programs toward connections, partnerships and financial resources to support expansion. (*)
